The Teacher Work Sample (TWS) designed by The Renaissance Partnership for Improving Teacher Quality Project (2002) is the instrument selected by the Teacher Preparation Program at UPRAg to provide evidence of how the candidate affects student learning. This instrument will provide evidence on the activities the candidates provide to promote significant learning for students. Through this instrument the candidate can demonstrate content and pedagogical knowledge, dispositions and professional and ethical competencies. The TWS will allow the candidate to demonstrate ability in integrating in a significant and coherent manner the curriculum, instruction and assessment through the planning and implementation of an instructional unit.
