The Education and Physical Education Department at the University of Puerto Rico in Aguadilla is accredited by the Council for Accreditation for Educator Preparation (CAEP). This accreditation is awarded to education programs with sustained evidence of excellence. Each academic semester the Education and Physical Education Department is responsible for collecting the information necessary to evidence the development and learning of the department’s teacher candidates. Also, with this information, we can evaluate existing strategies in order to continue with functional practices. In addition, we can design the action plans that are necessary to support the development of the candidates we prepare as future educators.
